Yang x Male reader! 2nd chances! Part 13

Alright guys, I'm gonna do one more update for this story after this, and I'll be moving on to the next one! (not sure who it is, I'll have to double check)

Just to let you all know.  I heard that their are rumors that Neo could return in Volume 5, but I'm not sure if that's confirmed or not.  So until they are confirmed (if it is confirmed, just say so in the comments, I haven't heard all the details, that's why I'm not 100%) Also, I will most likely not continue my Summer one because it would mess with the way things are going cannon right now (ya know, with Ruby and all) I might just make a short alternate ending.  So after that, the next two would be Raven and Velvet.  Since Raven shows up for like 2 minutes, and Velvet doesn't at all, I'll probably just make 1-part updates.  So, that's just a rough idea of my schedule and just letting you all know why I'll be skipping Summer and Neo.

(y/n): What?


You turn to see Yang, standing in darkness.


Yang: Look what he did to me (y/n).

(y/n): I know... I'm sorry-

Yang: "I'm sorry" doesn't cut it!


Her eyes turned blood red... And you had no where to turn...


(y/n): Yang-

Yang: Why didn't you kill him?! You had the opportunity! If HE had taken YOUR arm, I wouldn't have second guessed myself! He would've DIED!

(y/n): I... I-

Yang: You couldn't even do it for me...

(y/n): Yang! I-

Yang: Beep beep beep beep-

...

...


Clover: (y/n)?


You slowly opened your eyes to see Clover staring down at you.


(y/n): Huh?

Clover: You alright? You're sweating quite a bit.

(y/n): W-what?  


You slowly rose from your bed, realizing it was just a dream...


Sky: Yeah, your mumbling woke me up.

(y/n): Oh... I'm sorry Sky.

Rusty: Well, it doesn't help that we stayed up till like 4 am playing games and eating junk food.

(y/n): Yeah...


They were already dressed, and they started packing some of their other things.


(y/n): What time is it?

Sky: Noon.

(y/n): Geez, I slept in that much?

Sky: Like Rusty said, we were up till 4 am.

(y/n): I guess that's true...


You went into a different room to change out of your pajamas and into your regular clothes.


(y/n): Well, what do you guys wanna do today?

Clover: Hmm...

Rusty: I want to beat you in Remnant!

(y/n): ...Rusty, we played like 10 games last night.

Rusty: I know! But I didn't win any of them!

Sky: Your point? Just means you suck at the game.


Rusty and Sky then proceeded to argue per usual... You looked out the window in your living room.


Sky: You alright (y/n)?

(y/n): ...I'm just gonna miss you guys...


Sky walked over and hugged you.


Sky: Like I said, you can come back with one of us.

(y/n): You know I won't... I can't leave her again...

Sky: ...I know...

Clover: Come on, let's not get sad, we still got a couple of hours before we gotta get ready to leave... So... What should we do-

Rusty: Remnant!


You, Sky, and Clover sarcastically looked at Rusty... Sky eventually sighed.


Sky: ...Fine...

Rusty: Yes!

(y/n): Alright, get it out.


You 4 then grabbed the game, and played a few more rounds...

Rusty: ARE YOU SERIOUS!

Sky: Looks like I take your air fleet, and that's game!

Rusty: BUT... BUT...


Sky kissed him on the cheek.


Sky: No buts.


You and Clover chuckled as Rusty couldn't believe that he still couldn't win.


Rusty: So, what's the standings now?


Sky sighed.


Sky: I've won 4 games, (y/n) has won 4 games, and Clover won 5 games.


Rusty pouted in the corner.


Rusty: And Rusty has won 0.

(y/n): You that sad you gotta talk in 3rd person?

Rusty: Shut up.


The 4 of you then laughed... It was a pleasant moment... When you 4 didn't have to worry about the welfare of the world for that moment... You could just laugh about stupid things like this... And yet, you were still a team... You were really going to miss them...


Throughout the next few hours, you helped them pack up their things, and then went and got an early dinner at a restaurant you 4 started going to after the attack on Beacon... The more you talked with them, the more it felt like they weren't leaving... It didn't take till the docks for you to realize... They were leaving...

AT THE DOCKS!


You and your team looked at a section of the docks.  One boat on the right, headed for Mistral. One boat in the middle, headed for Vacuo.  One small cargo boat on the left, headed for Atlas.  The three of them walked in front of you, and dropped their bags before turning to you.


Sky: Well...

Rusty: I guess...

Clover: This is it...


You walked up to them, and you pulled them all in for a group hug.


(y/n): I love you guys so much... You three are everything to me.

Sky: We know (y/n)... And you're everything to us...


Sky then hugged you separately for a few moments.  Clover and Rusty took this time to bro hug.


Clover: Stay safe bro.

Rusty: You too... Make sure not to run into any bandits going home.

Clover: Heh, you too.


They fist bumped, then Sky let go of you.


Sky: Rusty... Can I speak with you for a moment?

Rusty: ...Sure.


Rusty and Sky walked a few feet away from you and Clover... You looked at Clover as the sun began to set.


(y/n): Well.

Clover: It's been a weird ride (y/n)... But it's also been one hell of a ride.

(y/n): Hell yeah...


You two hugged for a moment... Rusty and Clover were like brothers... And Sky was like a sister...


(y/n): You stay safe getting home.

Clover: Don't worry, my dad works near the docks, getting there without issue should be easy.

(y/n): Good.


You and Clover then turned around when you heard the cries of Sky and Rusty...


Sky: Y-you s-stay safe... Y-you hear?!

Rusty: I w-will...


They pulled each other in for another embrace, as tears fell from their faces.


Sky: ... Rusty I-

Rusty: I love you too.


Sky then blushed a rose red.


She then smacked him in the face.


Sky: I WAS GONNA SAY KEEP YOUR GUARD UP!

Rusty: Oh... Well-


Sky then kissed him for a few moments.


Sky: But I love you too Rusty.


They smiled, and then both looked your way.


Rusty: Well (y/n).


Rusty walked up to you and gave you a bro hug... Clover and Sky then hugged and said their goodbyes.


(y/n): You keep that axe close.

Rusty: You know I will.

(y/n): And never change.

Rusty: Not even if I'm at my dying breath.

(y/n): ...Don't get that far in the first place.

Rusty: I'll do my best.


You two fist bumped. The boats then blew their horns.


(y/n): Alright... Guess this is it.


You all hugged in a circle.


Rusty: Stay strong (y/n).

(y/n): Heh, I'm not the one who's going anywhere.

Sky: Still... Keep your guard up.

(y/n): You know I will. You too.

Sky: I will.

Clover: Tell Yang we said goodbye.

(y/n): I will.


They all then turned around, and looked between the three of them. Then they walked their separate paths... And went to their boats... And like that... They were all three out of your sight...

With sadness in your heart, you decide to head for Yang's as the sun sets...

*knock knock*


You waited a few seconds, and Tai opened the door.


Tai: Oh, hey (y/n).


You noticed he was whispering.


(y/n): Everything alright?

Tai: Yeah yeah, come on in.


You walked in, and Tai closed the door.


Tai: Yang and I were expecting you yesterday.

(y/n): Sorry, Goodwitch got us at the last moment to help out with the clean up at the school.

Tai: I see... That's understandable.

(y/n): Yeah.

Tai: Well... She broke another glass yesterday.

(y/n): Oh no... That's like the 4th one...

Tai: Yeah, yesterday wasn't a good day for her.

(y/n): Can I see her?

Tai: She's sleeping I think... Peter and Barney are in the kitchen.  We've just been catching up.

(y/n): Peter and Barney?

Tai: Ah sorry, Professor Port and Oobleck.

(y/n): Oh... Alright... I'm gonna check on her real quick, then I'll be down.

Tai: Alright.


Tai smiled at you, and you then quietly walked up the stairs. When you got to the doorstep of Yang's room, you saw she was wearing her orange tank top, and brown pants... She was sound asleep on her bed. You slowly walked in, and kissed her forehead... She didn't move.  You then left the room, and joined Tai, Peter, and Barney in the kitchen.


Port: Ah! (y/n)! Good to see you!

Oobleck: Ah yes yes! Glynda told us of your help with you and your team yesterday.

(y/n): Yeah.

Port: Where are they?

Tai: Well, they usually don't come by.  (y/n) is the only one who stops by.

Port: I see.

(y/n): Yeah... Well, they just left today.


The three of them looked a little surprised, but then realized they were still away from home.


Port: It does make sense.

Oobleck: Yes yes, their families were probably worried sick.

(y/n): Yeah...

Tai: I'm sorry (y/n)... You gonna be alright?

(y/n): ...I'll be fine Tai... I've got you and Yang.

Tai: Definitely... Was she asleep?

(y/n): Yeah, she was out.

Port: Hmm... I see you and Miss Xiao Long are close?


You smiled a little.


(y/n): Yeah, she means a lot to me.

Port: I see.

Tai: Oh wait! I gotta tell you about the time we got Qrow to wear a skirt!


Tai started going on and on about how they got Qrow in a skirt when they went to Beacon.


You zoned out of the conversation for a little bit, and sat on the counter in the kitchen, but away from the table, closer to the end of the counter.  You looked at the ground, and were completely zoned out.  Your thoughts dwelled on your team... And your parents... And Adam... You were still a little struck about your little nightmare this morning... You were so lost in thought that you didn't see Yang until she was standing right in front of you.


Yang: Hello? (y/n)?

(y/n): W-wha?

Yang: Hey, you alright?


You looked over and noticed Tai and the other two looking at you as well.


(y/n): Yeah, I'm good, just zoned out.

Tai: Alright... So there he was...


Tai continued his conversation with the other two.  Yang looked at you with her beautiful lilac eyes.


(y/n): Hey beautiful.

Yang: Hey.


She leaned towards you and you two hugged.


(y/n): How was your nap?

Yang: It was alright... I felt a pair of lips hit my forehead a little bit ago.

(y/n): Care to take a guess on who that was?

Yang: I don't need to guess.


You smiled at her.


Port: I see.


You and Yang looked at the professors as they observed you two's behavior towards each other.


Port: Can I guess that you two are romantically involved?


You and Yang kind of chuckled.


(y/n): You could say that.


Yang pulled your even closer in the embrace, which surprised you a little, but you simply held her tighter...

After an hour or so of joking around and just chatting, Yang decided to go back to bed, and you walked her back to her room.


Yang: You sure you're alright?

(y/n): I... No... I'm not sure.

Yang: (y/n)...


She walked up to you, and held one of your hands.


Yang: What is it?

(y/n): ...I'm sorry Yang...
