Ozpin: ...And why do you want to leave?

(y/n): You've seen me fight, I can't do anything!


You turned your head from Ozpin.


Ozpin: ...Would your sister want you to give up?


You looked back at him.


(y/n): What?

Ozpin: Your sister... Would she want you to give up?

(y/n): ...N-no, she wouldn't... But I haven't gotten any better.

Ozpin: Have you really even tried?

(y/n): ...I guess not...


Ozpin stood up.


Ozpin: Look... I understand you've been in this "funk" since... The "incident"... But you can't let this slow you down... If anything, you should be trying to get stronger, faster.

(y/n): Yeah, well... It just got harder... I only have one sword now.

Ozpin: So... That which doesn't kill us... Makes us stronger...


You looked at him.


Ozpin: I can't imagine what you're going through... Nor do I want to... But I still want to help you... It's what your sister would want.

(y/n): I know...

Ozpin: Please... Even if it means focusing more on your combat over your studies... You must get stronger... You have to try...

(y/n): ...Ok... Thank you sir.


He took a sip of his coffee, and you left his office...



You got out of the elevator, and started walking to your second class...



SMALL TIMESKIP.


You and your team had just gotten out of your last class for the day... Most people didn't say anything or laughed at you and your team... The four of you just ignored them the best you could... The four of you made it back to your dorm, and you all collapsed on your bed.


Aqua: Well, today was an interesting day.

Scarlet: Tell me about it! We got beat by first years.

(y/n): ...They were pretty good.

Scarlet: Seriously? You thought they were?

(y/n): Well, they did beat us, didn't they?

Scarlet: I suppose.

Jak: Either way, Professor Goodwitch complimented us today.

Scarlet: Not all of us.

(y/n): Really Scarlet, do you think I care about what Goodwitch has to say about me?

Scarlet: I guess not, I still think she should've complimented you.


You sighed.


(y/n): I'm gonna go lift some weights, anyone want to tag along?

Scarlet: I'm beat!

Jak: I'll pass.

Aqua: I'm good.

(y/n): Alright, I'll be back later.


You changed into your workout clothes, and headed over to the weight room right next to the training facility... When you got in there, a few upperclassmen teams were in there... Only one second year team, but that's all it took.


2nd year male classmate: Well look who it is, the low-life of Beacon!


You shrugged, and ignored him... You then saw Aqua come in, and the insults got worse.


2nd year female classmate: Look, the low-life even brought his quiet little bitch!


The four of them laughed... You and Aqua just looked away... As much as you wanted to shout back... You knew they could beat you up in seconds... Thankfully, some of the upper classed teams in there told them off, and left the weight room themselves.


Aqua: At least not all of the teams here are assholes.

(y/n): Yeah... I'm gonna hit the bench real quick... You mind spotting me?

Aqua: Not at all.


You walked over to the bench press... You put on 135 lbs. You got on the bench.


(y/n): So, what made you change your mind?

Aqua: I just... Wanted to make sure you're okay...

(y/n): I'm alright... Just... A little distracted.


You lifted the bar up, and proceeded to bench press...


Aqua: 1


You pushed up.


Aqua: 2


You pressed down, and pushed up again, feeling the burn in your arms... You heard the weight room door open, but you weren't paying attention... Unfortunately, Aqua was... Distracted...


(y/n): A-Aqua?!


You were struggling with the bar... You then heard a familiar voice.


Ren: Uh, your friend?

Aqua: OH!


Aqua turned back to you, and helped you get the bar back on the rack.


Aqua: I'm sorry (y/n)! I just-

(y/n): It's alright...


You got up, and looked at the team that kicked your butt... Team JNPR.


Pyrrha: We're sorry to interrupt your training session.


You chuckled.


(y/n): Please, this is hardly a training "session"... More like a pity work out...

Nora: Working on some thunder thighs?!

(y/n): Thunder what?

Nora: THUNDER THIGHS!


You were a little confused... Ren sighed.


Ren: Nora, he was on the bench press, that has nothing to do with the lower body.

Nora: That's what you think silly!


Nora then dashed over to the squat rack, and proceeded to squat like it was a piece of cake.


Ren: Here we go...

Jaune: What?

Ren: I knew we shouldn't have given her desert after dinner.

Pyrrha: What happens?


Nora then proceeded to squat the RACK MACHINE?!


Ren: Nora...

Nora: Oh come on Ren! You know they don't have enough weights for me to workout!


Ren just sighed... You sat on the bench... And started to laugh.


Aqua: What's so funny?

(y/n): It's just really funny... She could probably beat a nevermore with a flick and a poke.

Ren: ...She has.


You chuckled... Nora then stopped.


Nora: Alright, the warm up is done.

Ren: Nora...

Nora: What Ren?

Ren: Did you forget why we came here?

Nora: No! Of course I didn't silly!...Why did we come here?


Ren hit his forehead... He then walked over to you.


Ren: We came to thank you for today... We... Didn't realize you got moved down to the first year combat class because of your... Skills.

(y/n): It's alright... Who told you that?

Jaune: Let's just say Professor Port.

(y/n): Of course, he doesn't know when to shut up.


You all chuckled.


Nora: OH OH OH! You're that guy!

(y/n): Huh?

Nora: I broke your sword!


You looked away, trying not to remember that moment.


Nora: I'm really really really sorry about that! I was just SUPER excited to spar today!


You looked back at her, trying your best to fake a smile.


(y/n): It's alright, you guys were really good, I'm sure you'll turn out as a great team!

Jaune: Really? You think so?

(y/n): Yeah... I'm sure of it.


Jaune stood there smiling.


Ren: I also wanted to personally thank you for... Talking to Professor Goodwitch.


You smiled.


(y/n): Yelled is more like it... And you're welcome... She should've given you more praise than she did.

Ren: Yes...


Ren then looked at Aqua.


Ren: And thank you... Aqua... For the wonderful spar... If you need any help with your close combat skills, I'd be more than happy to assist you.


Aqua and Ren BOTH blushed... Ren then walked out.


Nora: OOOOOOOH, Ren's getting flirty!


Aqua blushed even more, and hid her face in her hands.


Nora then ran out of the weight room... Jaune and Pyrrha looked at you both, and they left... You then looked at Aqua.


(y/n): ...So... Ren huh?


She looked away.


Aqua: W-what?

(y/n): That's why you were distracted... Because you were eye-balling Ren.


Aqua blushed.


Aqua: He isn't... Unfortunate looking.


You chuckled.


(y/n): Alright... You gonna work out any?

Aqua: Nah, I think I'll just give you some company.


You shrugged, and proceeded to workout as the sun started to set...

After your workout, you and Aqua went back to the room, only to find Jak and Scarlet fast asleep.


Aqua: Guess that's our cue that we should be in bed as well.


You nodded, and you both went to your beds, and fell asleep... Hoping tomorrow wouldn't be... As humiliating...



NEXT DAY!


You woke up with your team a little earlier than normal... This morning, you and your team decided to get some breakfast this morning at the cafeteria... You all got into your uniforms early, and headed down to the cafeteria... It was... Full...


(y/n): Great.

Aqua: We have snacks back at the dorm.


Just then, you and Aqua saw Ren waving towards you.


Scarlet: Isn't HE on team JNPR?! Oh I'll show him-

Aqua: Now now Scarlet, he looks to be inviting us over.

Scarlet: I don't car-

(y/n): Scarlet, calm down, Aqua just doesn't want you to ruin her chances with R-

Aqua: SHUT UP!


The cafeteria went silent... EVERYONE heard Aqua scream.


Aqua: ...Great...

(y/n): Way to go Aqua.


People then started to go back to their conversations... The four of you walked over to the table... Ren was also sitting with team RWBY.


Weiss: Hey, aren't you that team that's supposed to "monitor" our class?

Scarlet: You better zip it ice bit-

Jak: Now now Scarlet.


Scarlet held her tongue.


(y/n): Yes, well, it seems we'll be more of classmates than mentors.

Weiss: So your team got moved down because you aren't good at fighting?


Scarlet was about to blow a fuse.


Ruby: I'm sorry about her, Weiss is a party pooper.

Weiss: Hey! I'm sitting right here!

Yang: Regardless, I didn't think Professor Goodwitch was so... Cranky?

(y/n): You'd be surprised.


Just then, Nora, Jaune, and Pyrrha walked over... Jaune and Pyrrha had a... Normal plate of food... Nora... Had about 20 pancakes on her plate.


Nora: BREAKFAST!

Scarlet: ...Seriously?!

Jak: I... Don't want to watch this.

Aqua: Can you... Really eat that much?

Ren: Unfortunately, she can... How are you this morning Aqua.


Aqua blushed that Ren started up a conversation... Aqua then sat down facing Ren, and the rest of you sat at the table... You were facing Nora.


(y/n): You know, I don't think I've ever seen someone even attempt to eat so much food.

Nora: Oh well these pancakes will be gone in MINUTES!


Nora then went to TOWN on those pancakes... The poor doughy cakes didn't stand a chance...   (RIP Pancakes)


Nora polished them off in about 5 minutes... Everyone, including you, were stunned.


Yang: Geez! How are you not fat?

Scarlet: Where do you even keep all that food?

(y/n): ...I for one, am impressed.


Nora was a little surprised at your reaction.


Scarlet: How are you impressed?! Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing, but like... Damn!

(y/n): I mean, she polished off those pancakes in minutes!


You looked at the cafeteria line.


(y/n): Alright guys, we should get food before classes start.


Your teammates nodded... You, Scarlet, and Jak got up... Aqua was talking to Ren.


(y/n): Aqua, you coming?

Aqua: N-no, I just realized I'm not too hungry.


You shrugged your shoulders, and the three of you went into the line... You three came out a few minutes later with your breakfast... You got pancakes.


Ren: I seriously don't know how you can even eat pancakes after watching what Nora did.

(y/n): Hey, I like my pancakes.


You proceeded to eat them at your own pace... You knew Nora was eyeballing your pancakes...


Ren: Nora...

Nora: Oh come on Ren! Just one more!


You chuckled, and tossed a pancake her way.


Nora: REALLY?!


Nora scarfed it down.


Ren: ...If she gets hyper today, I'm blaming it on you.


You just shrugged, and finished off the rest of your pancakes...


You and your other two team members finished your food, and you all got up.


Ruby: Alright, time for our second day of classes.

(y/n): ...Great.

Jak: Cheer up (y/n), if we can get better, we'll be back into our old sparing class in no time.

Aqua: I k-kinda like the first year class... T-they seem nicer than our second year classmates.

(y/n): She has a point.


You three could still see Aqua and Ren's eyes basically locked.


Nora: ANYWAY! I just hope we get to do some more sparing!... No offense to you guys.

(y/n): None taken.

Scarlet: Speak for yourself (y/n)!

Jak: Come on Scarlet, it wa-.


You and Scarlet looked at Jak.


Jak: ...Ok ok, fine.

(y/n): Regardless, we need to make the most of it...


The 12 of you (yes, your team, team JNPR, and team RWBY) walked to combat class right when classes started...


Goodwitch: Good morning class... Today... We will be going over a few... Basic combat styles... Can someone name a few?


Aqua raised her hand... You were a little surprised seeing that she's usually quiet.


Goodwitch: Yes, Aqua.

Aqua: Close combat, which can be divided by hand-to-hand combat, or close encounters with a melee weapon or a weapon that shoots projectiles... And Long distance encounters, usually with a sniper or a weapon that can be used in long range thanks to a persons specific semblance.

Goodwitch: Very good, those are flawless examples.


She smiled, and you and the rest of your team looked at her.


(y/n): ...Who are you and what have you done with Aqua?

Aqua: Very funny.


Goodwitch continued with the lesson.


Goodwitch: Now... Just for reference... Does anyone remember yesterdays fight?


Your team scowled... You included... Most of the students raised their hands.


Goodwitch: Can someone tell me what went wrong with the losing team?


Cardin Winchester raised his hand.


Goodwitch: Yes?

Cardin: They sucked!


Cardin and his team laughed... Most of the students just sat in silence... Jak and Aqua had to pin Scarlet down from ripping Cardin's head off of his neck...


Goodwitch: ...No... Their were many reasons why they failed... But just to name a few... They didn't use teamwork, they had sloppy attacks, they-


Eventually, you zoned out... You had enough of her babbling against your team... She then moved on to the main topic of the class...


Goodwitch: Now... Let's start with...


Goodwitch spent the rest of the class talking about the different types of combat... Which bored you...


The bell rang, and it was time to move on to the next class... You and your team got up, and left along with the rest of the students... As the four of you were walking... Aqua was looking around.


Scarlet: I still can't believe Goodwitch talked shit about us again... Looking for your boyfriend?

Aqua: Yes, I can't seem to-... HEY!


You and Scarlet high-fived, and laughed.


Aqua: He's not my boyfriend!... Yet...

Jak: Well... You could ask him to the dance that's coming up before the start of the second semester.

Aqua: That's the start of the second semester... Today is the second day of classes! That's months away.

Jak: Just suggesting.

(y/n): Well, I don't think it's a bad idea-

Ozpin: (y/n).


The four of you turned to your right, to see Professor Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch.


(y/n): Oh, h-hello Professors... We didn't see you there.

Ozpin: It's quite alright... (y/n), I would like to speak with you for a moment.


Your teammates looked a little nervous.


Ozpin: Don't worry, it won't take too long, you'll be back in class with your teammates in a short while.


Your teammates sighed, knowing you weren't getting kicked out.


(y/n): Alright... I'll see you guys in class.


Your teammates walked to class... And you followed Professor Ozpin and Goodwitch into Ozpin's office...


*OZPIN'S OFFICE*



Ozpin sat at his chair... You stood by the window, and Goodwitch was in front of Ozpin's desk.


Goodwitch: So... I wanted to talk about (y/n) in the fact that-

Ozpin: Glynda.


Professor Goodwitch stopped talking.


Goodwitch: Yes, Professor Ozpin?

Ozpin: ...He knows.

Goodwitch: He knows what?

Ozpin: ...He knows.


Goodwitch then caught on.


Goodwitch: What?! How does a NOBODY know about-

(y/n): Because Amber is my sister.
